NOSY End Users Network (EUN)
Why to sign up?
By joining the NOSY EUN you will have the opportunity to meet with our development team and to contribute with your feedback and suggestions to the achievement of the NOSY objectives:
- to improve LEAs capabilities to conduct investigations by using novel monitoring systems and miniaturized sensors;
- to increase crime prosecution capabilities;
- to shorten court cases due to the availability of more solid court proof evidence.
Learn more about the NOSY EUN…
Since the proposal phase, four European Law Enforcement Agencies (Institut de Recherche Criminelle de la Gendarmerie Nationale, France; Raggruppamento Carabinieri Investigazioni Scientifiche, Italy; Guarda Nacional Republicana, Portugal; Bundespolizei, Germany) have been involved in the project. This demonstrates the crucial role that End-Users have played and will play for an effective implementation of the project itself. Alongside, the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) signed a supporting letter for the NOSY consortium by which it is committed to sending invites to its member to join the NOSY End-Users Network (EUN), to circulate the information on the project’s developments and to disseminate NOSY’s final results. Such a commitment could pave the way for a possible greater involvement of End-Users and subsequent dissemination of NOSY at EU level. All End-Users full members of the NOSY project (“internal” End-Users) or fully engaged in supporting it (e.g. ENFSI) will join the NOSY EUN together with the additional ones that will be invited to contribute along the duration of the research and demonstration activities. Therefore, the project has been set up with a specific approach towards End-Users that will help in creating a EU wide and balanced network in terms of type of entities ranging from LEAs and other entities counter-acting criminal organizations and dealing with investigations to civil society representatives. The EUN building process will consider quality over quantity, therefore selected proactive End-Users will be of particular interest for the benefit of the research and demonstration activities. This rationale of this approach is twofold. Firstly, to further increase the transnational cooperation among End-Users, particularly Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and forensic ones across all the countries of the EU. Indeed, the transnational cooperation would be much more favoured through shared and interoperable security solutions arising from the NOSY project such as the spread of a new and most effective device as well as of the new best practices related to its use. Secondly, the project will achieve its full exploitation and growth by benefiting on synergies that may emerge from the EUN itself and from its related activities foreseen by the project such as eventual dedicated training organized at national and European level.
